Autotool  offers a one year LIMITED structural parts warranty on all AutoTool  tire changers. Autotool  warrants the equipment to the original purchaser against defects in material or workmanship under normal use for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This limited warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of materials or parts found defective, at the discretion of AutoTool. This limited one year warranty DOES NOT apply to normal wear items or to items through which compressed air passes. Air Valves, cylinders, and other moving parts that are subjected to a direct contact with the flow of compressed air are covered by a limited 90 day warranty. Our air operated parts are designed to be “powered” by well lubricated and “moisture-free” compressed air. “Dirty air” with no lubrication will cause problems with any air powered piece of equipment. If we examine a part and feel that it is a manufacturer’s defect; we will make sure that part is covered under warranty for 180 days. Turntable and adapter clamping jaws are covered by a 90 day warranty. However, we will not warranty any part that has been abused, altered, or has been subjected to “dirty air”. We believe that your AutoTool equipment  will provide years of trouble free service, but you must provide periodic maintenance to ensure the longevity of your machine. We stock a complete parts inventory and employ several full time technical advisors that can “walk you through” most issues that may arise with your AutoTool tire changer. This limited one year warranty DOES NOT apply to normal wear items or moving parts like The mounting  head, Rollers and any other parts that are subjected to a direct contact with the moving parts. We will not warranty any part that has been abused, altered, or has been subjected to a bad operation by the operator.

Our limited warranty policy (one year parts only) does not include a labor warranty. Our products are sold at such a competitive price that Autotool cannot afford to send technicians into the field to repair the AutoTool Equipment. We assume that the buyer of our tire changer is mechanically inclined or has employees that are mechanically inclined.

Our tire changers are built with “plug and play” parts that make repairs very easy. This is the same philosophy that the Personal Computer Industry has used for many years. Most parts can be changed in a manner of minutes.

There are certain parts that are considered “wear items” and are NOT included in the one year limited warranty. These parts include plastic jaw protectors, Metal mount/demount heads, plastic mount/demount, plastic head inserts, airline fittings, hoses, and clamping jaws. Parts that have been subjected to abuse or misuse will NOT be considered for warranty.

REPEAT: IF YOU ABUSE A PRODUCT (LIKE NOT USING THE PROPER LUBRICATION, PLUGGING THE 110 VOLT ELECTRICAL CORD INTO A 220 VOLT OUTLET, OR EXPECTING THE BEAD BREAKER TO CRUSH OLD RIMS), THEN YOUR WARRANTY IS VOID.

Our wheel service equipment products are built for many years of service, but just like your automobile, they need proper scheduled maintenance. If you believe that a tire changer or wheel balancer should perform flawlessly for an infinite period of time with NO preventative maintenance, then please do not buy our products. You are living in a fantasy world. If you do not keep your tire changer lubricated, your warranty will be VOID. Let us explain this so there will be NO CONFUSION as to what is meant by Proper Lubrication.

You all know the story about the blonde who runs her car engine dry of oil, throws a rod, and refills her car engine with new oil. She thinks that the service manager of the car dealership is also blonde. New oil in a blown engine will easily be detected because there will be no metal shavings present. (The above story is not meant to insult BLONDES-my wife is one-so I know how testy they can be)

Tire changers and car engines have a lot in common. We can easily determine if your machine has had proper lubrication, or if lubrication was added “after the fact”. If you do not keep all parts lubricated, then those parts will not move freely. “Frozen” parts put stress on other parts that were not designed to move in the first place. Something must give; because of the air pressure or electric motor torque.

Bolts that have “worked loose” need to be tightened. This is also a part of preventative maintenance. If bolts are allowed to remain loose, they can alter the angle of moving parts and parts breakage may also occur. Our technicians have not “seen or heard it all”, but they are very familiar with what can happen to equipment if not properly maintained.

We will honor warranties that result from manufacturing defects. Warranties do not apply to items that have been abused or misused. Many times, the lack of proper lubrication or a loose nut/bolt combination are the reason for tire changer parts to break or malfunction. It is the customer’s responsibility to perform maintenance required by the manufacturer.

Electric motors for AutoTool tire changers carry a 6 month warranty. A low amp service will shorten the life of any electric motor. All 110 volt tire changers should be “plugged into” at least a 20 amp service. All 220 volt tire changers should be “plugged into” at least a 30 amp Single Phase service. Do not use extension cords with either a tire changer or wheel balancer. The use of extension cords or improper electrical installation will occur in damage of the contacts of the switch that controls the motor, lower voltage than the requested by the equipment will increase dramatically the current(Amps) circulating by the switch or motor, damaging any of them.

Our limited warranty policy (one year parts) requires the alleged defective part to be returned to Autotool (freight ppd.) BEFORE the replacement part can be sent. This means the customer is responsible to pay the freight back to Autotool . AutoTool may waive the necessity for the “broken” part to be returned, if the customer sends (via Email) digital photos. If the “broken” part is an integral part of the machine, and the loss of this part will not allow the machine to work properly during the evaluation period, AutoTool  waive the “normal” return policy in certain situations so there is minimal down time for the operator. If there is a question as to the whether the part is covered by our limited warranty, AutoTool can charge the customer’s credit card for the replacement part (when the part is shipped) and then credit the amount of the part (not the freight) if the returned “broken” part is covered under warranty.

AutoTool  has been in business for over 12 years, and has a service department with an excellent reputation. The old adage that compares the attitude of the customer to the type of service received rings true for AutoTool.

We sell quality products with very few warranty issues. When there is a warranty issue, (or an out of warranty issue) we want to get the customer back in business as quickly as possible. A good attitude from Autotool service technician coupled with a positive attitude from the customer will produce a satisfactory outcome for both parties.

Please have your owner’s manual with you when you call. If you have lost your manual, the best way to describe a part is with a digital photo. A digital photo leaves NO ROOM to the imagination. If our service technicians have your digital photos in front of them, then the process of replacing parts is much easier. Please help us to help you. Good information with pictures helps to speed the process.

Returned goods must be authorized to be returned (in writing) by AutoTool and must be prepaid to a designated location. All returns are subject to a 15% handling/restocking charge. Returned goods must be in like-new condition complete with warranty and original shipping papers.

Returns and Refunds

Our policy is very generous. If within 30 days of purchase you decide you don't like the product, you can return it to us and we'll pay you your full purchase price back, minus shipping & handling . All returned equipment is subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. All returns must first be given an authorization number. No returns will be accepted without an authorization number. Credits will be issued only after we have received product and inspected it. You will also be charged for shipping costs for any orders that are canceled after item has already shipped, but not yet received by you. In such a case, you will also be responsible for a restocking fee. Orders that are canceled but have not yet shipped will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

All returns must:

1. Be in original packaging
2. Have original manufacturer's paperwork including owner's manual.
3. Product must not be damaged in any way.
4. There must be no missing parts from product.

Typographical Errors
In the event that a Autotool Florida Inc product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, Autotool Florida Inc reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Autotool Florida Inc reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Autotool Florida Inc shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
